Autocross - Wednesday and Thursday, July 11 and 12

    Autocross Schedule
    Autocross Shuttle Schedule

The Autocross will be held at the Camdenton Memorial Airport. The Airport is about 10 miles from Tan-Tar-A resort. The site we will be using is a parking ramp for small airplanes. The Airport is planning on paving the site the month of March. We are hoping that is will be smooth and grippy. The site area will be about 200 foot wide by 800 or more long. To ensure a fun time for the many less experienced entrants that attend Parade, the course will be easy to follow and emphasize flow. Watch the Parade web site for comments on the course and site conditions after the course layout and safety test in late March.

Set aside 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday July 10 for the Autocross Chalk Talk and course walk. There will be analysis of the course and a chance to learn tips and techniques. There will be many experienced Autocrossers roped into helping all who want it. The course is also open on Wednesday, July 11, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and after runs are completed for the day (about 3:00 p.m.), and Thursday, July 12, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

All Porsches entered in the autocross must pass Parade Safety Inspection. For the first time in a long time, Tech Inspection will be done at the Autocross site on Grid. Plan to be early enough in case you need to fix something. See the Safety/Tech Inspection page for more information.

Registered Junior Participation Program (JPP) members and College Age Family Program (CAFP) members with a valid driver’s license may participate in the autocross in the same Porsche and same class as their parent(s).

The run schedule for the autocross will be all Improved cars run in the morning, all Modified cars will run after lunch on Wednesday July 11. Some Production cars may run on Wednesday afternoon as well (GT3’s and GT4’s). Showroom Stock cars (S01 through S13) running on Thursday July 12, with Production category (P01 through P15. The Idea is to have many experienced Instructors available for the less experienced drivers. Study the PCRs 2018 Parade Competition Rules to determine the proper autocross class to enter. There is an Open Class and a Ladies Class. Women can choose which class they wish to run in. Contact the Parade Autocross Chair, Larry Sharp ( if you have questions, but remember that it is your responsibility to correctly classify your Porsche for the autocross.
